Avengers Neo- Ares

This is a picture of a character from my Marvel/Power Rangers/TMNT fanfiction story world.

This is Ares, the god of War, slaughter and conquest from ancient Greek mythology, known to the Romans as Mars. Son of Zeus and his wife Hera, Ares is a violent god, and was often seen as the cause of war, representing the horror, fear and terror war caused, while military strategy and strategy came from his sister Athena. He had several children, including Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons and her three sisters, as well as Deimos, Phobos, Eros and Harmonia, all children of Aphrodite, who was his lover, not his wife. As Mars to the Romans, he was idolized instead of feared, as he became a patron and protector, a champion of Rome's conquests, and his standing among the Olympians rose as well.
Ares was a bitter rival of his half-brother Hercules, constantly quarreling with the demigod over jealously and sibling rivalry, imagined by his own mother Hera's  intense hatred of Hercules. Though forbidden by Zeus to take action against Heracles, Ares still managed to do his best to make Hercules' life difficult.

When worship of the Roman Gods faltered, Ares retreated like the other Olympians, awakening only when the Corona Aurora was completed. Ares awakened and began to take an interest in modern warfare, quickly learning the ways of modern weapons like firearms and explosives. His rivalry with Hercules reignited and often teamed with his mother Hera or uncle Hades to defeat and humiliate the hero, going so far as to engage Hercules in combat at times. He often clashed with the heroes of the modern world, including Thor of Asgard. At this point, Venus/Aphrodite began to see Areas as repulsive, as she saw herself as a modern hero, and Ares as a villain, so she sided against him with the other heroes.

After a series of defeats at the hands of Hercules and the Avengers, Ares did some sole searching, falling in love with a mortal woman and having a son. Deciding to raise his son away from the harsh conflict of Olympus, Ares decided to remain on Earth, and when discovered, to prove himself no longer a threat, eventually managed to work his way into joining a branch of the Avengers. Despite being a former villain, Ares sees himself as a champion, pitting himself as the champion of whatever cause the Avengers choose, with victory achieved not just with the defeat of a foe, but with the protection of innocents. In this way, he views his role as an Avenger as the ultimate, concentrated form of warfare.

Ares possesses all the standard powers of an Olympian, being immortal and physically very strong, with strength surpassed only by Zeus and Hercules among the Olympians, and a nearly unrivaled endurance. In addition to being incredibly strong, he is a master of many forms of armed combat, being a master of swords, axes, flails and spears, as well as modern weapons like firearms and heavy explosives. He possesses limited magic, such as summoning the many weapons he owns into battle at his side. his excellent skill in battle and great strength make him on of the most formidable warriors on earth.
