This is a picture of a character from my Marvel/Power Rangers/TMNT fanfiction story world.
Decided to finish off some pictures of the Greek gods in my Marvel inspired Olympian pantheon.
This is Cupid, the god of love in ancient Roman mythology, known to the Greeks as Eros. He is the son of Ares and Venus, and the brother of Phobos, Deimos and Concordia. He was shown as an archer with magical arrows that can cause the struck individual to fall in love, either with whomever they first lie eyes on, or with the being of Cupids' choosing. Though he is seen as a Cherub like child to the Romans, the Greeks saw him merely as a winged youth.
One of his famous myths involve the tale of him falling with the mortal woman Psyche, a woman whom he was sent to punish by his jealous mother Venus, but whom he fell in love with himself. Through a series of tasks set to him by Venus, including travelling to the Underworld and back, Psyche won the approval of even Zeus himself, and was allowed to ascend to become a goddess and marry Cupid. Together they had a daughter named Hedone.
When worship of the Roman Gods faltered, Cupid retreated like the other Olympians, awakening only when the Corona Aurora was completed. Cupid took an interest in mortal affairs again, often taking up his role with his bow and arrow once more, though at times he has come to the aid of his mother or father when they are in trouble, using his bow and arrow to fire the more dangerous kind of arrow.
cupid possesses all the standard powers of an Olympian, being immortal and physically very strong. In addition, his feathered wings allow him flight, and he can become invisible from sight. His bow is capable of firing arrows that can induce the feeling of love in those struck by them, though in the modern time, this is more infatuation and lust rather than true love, as that can never be truly forced in order to be real.

I like that now Cupid/Eros is more the harbinger of being horny than love, as it seems somehow more fitting and believable than the "I will make you find true love with the person of my choosing." I also still like that you went more along the lines of an Eros look than a Cupid look.
